William Elliott

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer

William was appointed Managing Director and CEO of CAR Group in August 2025. He joined the company in 2015 and held several senior finance positions before becoming CFO in January 2020.

William brings more than 20 years of finance, commercial and operational experience across the technology, media, consumer goods, and professional services sectors. Prior to joining CAR Group, he held senior finance positions at PwC and Murray Goulburn.

William holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) and a Bachelor of Laws from Monash University, Melbourne, and is a Chartered Accountant (CA).

Jo Allan

Chief People Officer

Jo is the CPO at CAR Group. She joined the business in 2008, and is responsible for People and Culture, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability across CAR Group. Jo has over 20 years’ experience, holding senior roles in people and culture, remuneration, and communication.

Jo has extensive experience in major transformation programs, scale-up growth, and creating highly engaged teams. She holds a Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of Communication from Monash University.

Nicole Birman

General Counsel & Company Secretary

Nicole is the General Counsel and Company Secretary of CAR Group, and is responsible for its legal, governance and risk functions. 

Nicole has over 20 years of legal experience, having commenced her career working at one of Australia’s premier law firms.  Nicole has worked in-house, advising leading online companies for over 15 years, and has extensive experience in domestic and international acquisitions, disputes and intellectual property. Nicole has a strong focus on corporate responsibility and was responsible for the Group’s sustainability function from its inception until 2024.

Nicole holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Arts from Monash University, a Certificate in Corporate Governance from INSEAD, and is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia.

Jason Blackman

Chief Information Officer

Jason is the CIO at CAR Group, where he leads the Group’s technology, product, security, and AI functions. Since joining CAR Group in 2012 and stepping into the CIO role in 2017, Jason has played a pivotal role in shaping CAR Group’s digital strategy and delivering innovative, customer-centric solutions across domestic and international markets.

Jason is also focused on identifying and developing ventures that build on CAR Group’s core capabilities, unlocking future growth opportunities in emerging markets and technologies.

Prior to joining CAR Group, Jason held senior roles across a range of industries including utilities, manufacturing, finance, and defence in both Australia and New Zealand. He holds a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of South Australia, a Bachelor in Technology from RMIT, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

Craig Fraser

Managing Director, carsales

Craig was appointed Managing Director of carsales in 2025 and oversees all management aspects of carsales and its subsidiaries. Since joining carsales in 2008, Craig has held numerous senior roles, leading various dealer and sales teams across carsales’ media, automotive, and non-automotive verticals.

Immediately prior to being appointed Managing Director, Craig held the role of Executive General Manager – Automotive, Corporate, Industry & Leisure for three years, leading all dealer product, technology, data, sales and support functions across the carsales business.

Inés Guitarte

Chief Executive Officer, chileautos

Inés is the CEO of the Latin American business chileautos in Chile and has been since 2020. Inés joined CAR Group in 2017 and brings extensive experience having worked in classified businesses for over 20 years, in a broad range of both product and commercial roles.

Inés has a degree in Marketing from the University of Business and Social Sciences in Buenos Aires and a degree in e-Business Management from the University of Salvador in Buenos Aires. She also worked as a professor in 2017 of Digital Certification Degree for the Belgrano University, in Buenos Aires.

Eduardo Jurcevic

Chief Executive Officer, webmotors

Eduardo has been the CEO of webmotors Brazil since 2019 and has a long history of experience in the fields of finance and business management. Having joined the Banco Real / Santander Group in 1999 as the Investments and New Business Director, he became the Managing Director in 2013. During his time at Santander, Eduardo was responsible for several relevant areas of the bank including cross sell, broker, investments, and personal loans.

Eduardo holds an MBA in Business Management from Fundação Getulio Vargas. Additionally, he has completed a corporate leadership program at IESE Business School, an international marketing program at INSEAD Business School, and a finance in banking program through The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Sangbeom (SB) Kim

Chief Executive Officer, Encar.com

Sangbeom (SB) Kim has been CEO of Encar.com since 2014 when it was formed as a joint venture between SK, one of largest conglomerates in Korea, and CAR Group. Prior to this, SB was the Head of Strategy at SK C&C Holdings and associate partner at McKinsey.

With 25 years of experience at McKinsey, SK, Encar and CAR Group, SB has a uniquely balanced perspective from long-term strategy to daily operations, small start-ups to large corporates, and local Asian to global organisations. SB has also assisted Asan Foundation, a non-profit organization, as a non-executive director for over 10 years.

SB holds a Master’s Degree from MIT Sloan and Harvard Kennedy School.

David McMinn

Chief Executive Officer, Trader Interactive

David McMinn is the CEO of Trader Interactive. David joined Trader Interactive in 2022, serving as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer before becoming CEO in December 2023. Prior to Trader Interactive, David served as Chief Operating Officer of Trader Corporation in Canada, playing a pivotal role in evolving AutoTrader.ca to become the #1 digital automotive platform in Canada. His background also includes several senior leadership roles across sales, operations, and finance with Auto Trader UK’s Trader Media Group in the United Kingdom, as well as Sensis and Trading Post in Australia.

David holds a Bachelor of Business, Accountancy from RMIT University in Australia and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Stephen Wong

Chief Strategy Officer

Stephen is the CSO of CAR Group. Stephen is responsible for group strategy, corporate development/investments and strategic projects.

Prior to joining CAR Group in 2017, Stephen was an investor and portfolio manager for over 12 years with Mutual Trust and BlackRock.

Stephen holds a Bachelor of Commerce (honours) with First Class Honours from the University of Melbourne, is a CFA charter holder and a graduate of the General Management Program at the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania).
